As I cast, form and polish metal, I feel I am only taking part in a larger creative process that began with the earth itself. Jewelry making allows me to explore ideas of beauty and the relationship we have between concepts of who we are and the outward expressions that we choose.

At Decorous each piece of jewelry begins life as a personal project, something created out of a sense of curiosity and fun. Inspiration. Expansion. An exploration of a theme. Either consciously or unconsciously it grows out of a thematic seed and is underlined with the fundamental quest to understand one's experiences. I hope to communicate something of myself with you through my jewelry. Understand the designs as you will. They will speak to you if they are meant to. Let them say what they want. Jewelry is fun.
